Coach Epperly enters his first season as the head boys basketball coach at GHS. He previously served two seasons as an assistant under Mark Harkins. He is also an assistant coach on the GHS football team, coaching CB’s and ST’s. During his coaching tenure at GHS, both the football and basketball teams have earned state placing trophies (2023 state runner-up in football and 3rd place at the 2023 state basketball tournament).
Coach Epperly is a GHS alumni, where he was a three sport athlete. As a football player, he was a 1st Team All State performer at three different positions – CB, WR and PR, as well as being named the Western AA Conference Offensive MVP in 2013. He remains the school’s all time leader for receiving TD’s in a season (14) and career interceptions (11). He was a captain on the 2013 Wolfpack football team that would earn the state runner-up trophy. As a basketball player he was a four year varsity player, a 3x All Conference Point Guard, and a 2x 1st Team All State Point Guard. During his high school career, the Wolfpack basketball team would win three Western AA Conference Championships. He remains the school’s all time leader in points, assists, and steals. As a sprinter on the track team, he was an All State performer in the 100 M, 200 M, 400 M, and 4×400 Relay. He played in the MT East-West Shrine football game (Captain), the Mon-Dak Badlands Bowl football game (Defensive MVP), and the MT-WY All Star basketball series.
Following Coach Epperly’s high school career, he went on to play college football at the University of Montana from 2014-2018. During this time, he was a 3x All Big Sky Academic performer, would play in over 40 collegiate games, and make several starts at Safety and Cornerback.
Following college graduation, Coach Epperly would spend three years as a college football coach, including two years serving as a GA and Defensive Analyst at his alumni, the University of Montana. He is in his third year teaching social studies in the Kalispell School District and is currently teaching western civilization and US history at GHS. He and his wife Logan were married in October of 2023.
Coach Michaels enters his second stint with the Wolfpack coaching staff, previously serving as the Wolfpack’s Sophomore coach in 2021. He is a GHS alumni, graduating in 2014. On the basketball floor, he helped lead the Wolfpack to two Western AA Conference Championships, and was an All Conference performer. He ranks in the top ten all time in multiple statistical categories at GHS.
Following high school, he would play college basketball at the DII level at Concordia University in Portland Oregon, in which he would be a two year starter. He has spent the last six years playing professional basketball in Australia, New Zealand, and China. Bryan is currently under contract as a professional basketball player.
In October of 2023, Bryan married his wife Sarah.
Coach Anders Epperly enters his first year as a member of the Wolfpack coaching staff. He previously spent the last season as an assistant basketball coach at MSUB, helping lead them to their first ever regular season conference title and second straight DII NCAA tournament berth. He is a graduate of Bigfork High School in 2019 and MSUB in 2024.
During his time as a Bigfork Viking, he was a three sport athlete. As a football player he was an All State QB and a 2x All Conference WR. As a basketball player he was a four year starter and a 3x All State Point Guard. He led the Vikings to back to back state championships in 2018 and 2019 and a state runner up finish in 2016. He is the holder of the Montana all class all time assist record with 805 during his career.
After his high school career he went on to play basketball for four years at Montana State University Billings. He is currently a P.E teacher at Edgerton Elementary School while also assisting the football team at Bigfork High School.
Coach Hartsoch enters his first season on the Wolfpack coaching staff. He is a GHS alumni, graduating in 2018. He participated in football, basketball, and track and field for the Wolfapck. After high school, he attended the University of Montana and the University of Montana Western to major in physical education. During his time in Dillon, he would gain experience coaching K- 8th grade basketball. After college graduation, he would spend time teaching PE and coaching in the Seeley Swan community. Currently, Coach Hartsoch teaches PE at Kalispell Middle School.
Coach Koltin Tanniehill is entering his third season with Wolfpack basketball. A graduate of Helena High in 2015. Coach Tanniehill has spent multiple summers working basketball camps for colleges across the country. Koltin went to Montana Western as a Manager for the men’s basketball under Steve Keller, his most recent coaching stop was at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood Colorado.
Koltin has been a part of three 3rd place finishes at the state tournament at the high school level. He was a part of teams who made two semi final conference championship appearances, and appearances in the first and second round of the NAIA tournament.
Coach Tanniehill works as a Software Manager for Distinctive Countertops. In his free time he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Hannah who he newly married in September and their dog Cheeto.
