The Glacier sophomore boys basketball team defeated visiting Missoula Sentinel on Saturday 60-29 to improve to 6-1 overall on the season.

Glacier’s top three scorers were Lance Danic, 11 points, Alex Whitman, 10, and Tucker Salmonson, nine.

Glacier led 30-14 at the half and outscored Sentinel 30-15 in the second half. The Wolfpack tallied 22 points in the third quarter.

In earlier games, Glacier topped Butte 66-32 on Dec. 22 at the Butte Civic Center. Nick Whitman led the offense with 17 points. Brady Peiffer added 15 points and Danic 13.

Glacier held a 32-19 advantage at the half.

The Wolfpack scored 17 points off 14 Bulldog turnovers.

On Dec. 20 at Great Falls, Glacier claimed a 51-40 victory over the Bison.

Danic led the offense with 15 points. Cole Crosby hit three 3s and finished with 14 points.

Peiffer and Whitman both scored six. Glacier, up 31-30 at the half, outscored Great Falls 20-10 in the final half.

Glacier defeated CMR 35-28 at Glacier on Dec. 12.

That contest was tied at 19-all at the half.

Nick Whitman tallied 10 points, Alex Whitman had eight and Salmonson five.

Both Whitmans had three rebounds.
