If Glacier had the size Friday, Bozeman had the shooters — as in 16 3-pointers made in the Hawks’ 84-60 non-conference AA boys basketball win at the Wolf Den.
Kendall Stromberg led the Hawks with six 3-pointers and 22 points. He hit three treys in the first quarter as Bozeman jumped ahead 22-13, and two more as the lead grew to 50-30 at halftime.
“They shot very, very well,” Glacier coach Mark Harkins said. “I’ve never seen a team shoot threes at the percentage they did. I don’t know what it was, but it was very high.”
The Wolfpack (0-3) played steadier in the second half, and Connor Sullivan scored 15 points to lead the way. Ty Olsen added 11, and Kyson Wagner had nine.
“Connor Sullivan shot it well for us,” Harkins said. “Ty Olsen had a really good game for us. He maybe struggled a little bit the first two, and I thought he came out and led us and scored some points.”
Noah Dowler had three blocks to go with eight points. John Pyron had a pair of blocks as well.
