Coach Mark Harkins has been the head coach at Glacier High School since it opened in 2007, and as of the start of the 2023-23 season has coached them to 174 wins.
Prior to Glacier High School, Coach Harkins has been an assistant basketball and assistant football at Flathead High School, head football and assistant track at Columbia Falls High School, assistant football, assistant basketball, and assistant track at Whitefish High School, and Head Football, assistant basketball, assistant track at Bridgeport, WA. This is Coach Harkins 31st year teaching/coaching at the high school level.
Coach Harkins graduated high school from Snohomish High, and college at Western Washington. His wife Christy is the head volleyball coach at Glacier High School. They have been married for 29 years. Together they have 3 sons, Colton, Kyler, and Caden. All 3 boys graduated from Glacier High.
At the conclusion of the state championship season in 2016-17, Coach Harkins was awarded the honor of Coach of the Year by the Montana Coaches Association.
Coach Wakefield returns to Glacier High School for his eighth season with the Wolfpack. He has been part of Coach Harkin’s staff since 2016. Prior to coaching boy’s basketball at Glacier High School, Coach Wakefield was part of the Glacier Girl’s Program from 2007 – 2010 where he served as Glacier High School’s first Junior Varsity coach. His other coaching stops include Flathead High School, Kalispell Middle School, and Helena Flats School. Coach Wakefield has been coaching basketball for 24 years.
Coach Wakefield works for the Sigma Chi Fraternity as the Managing Director of Chapter Support and Enhancement.
Coach Wakefield is married to Kim Wakefield and together they have three boys; Braden, Bryson and Bosley.
Coach Ben Cutler joined the Glacier High Wolfpack coaching staff in 2016 and is currently coaching the freshman team. He is also currently in his 8th year teaching math at Glacier High School.
